The Arkansas Razorbacks boast one of the nation’s top passing attacks. To continue that success, the Hogs will have to keep bringing in top level wide receivers. One of those targets is Tampa, Fla. playmaker Andre Davis.
Davis, 6-foot -1/180 pounds, has offers from 17 schools across the country, stretching from Rutgers to Texas Tech. Arkansas is one school that has made their intentions known with a scholarship offer and the Razorbacks have Davis’ attention.
“I like Arkansas,” Davis said. “I’ve heard a lot of good things about the school and how Coach Bobby Petrino is working hard to get the program back on track.”
Davis has not begun to narrow his list and with no visits in the immediate future, a decision should not be expected for some time.
“All the schools are equal with me.” Davis said. “I am in no rush and I am just going to take my time.”
Davis admits that he’s unfamiliar with the majority of the Arkansas program but has done some research.
“I checked out their site a while back.” Davis said. “The website was really nice and helped a bunch. I could tell that they do a lot of work in the community and they really stress being a student athlete.”
Miami was the first school to offer Davis, who says Arkansas is a school that he hopes to visit.
“I would like to check out the campus. The success they have had offensively really gets my attention.”
