FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas Razorbacks suffered a tough 2-1 loss last Sunday at Florida with the game turning on a controversial play at the plate.
No one could blame the Hogs or head coach Dave Van Horn if they still felt stiffed by the call two days later, but with a game at 6;35 p.m. Wednesday against Missouri State and a series with Auburn fast approaching this weekend, Arkansas’ skipper is looking forward rather than back.
“We’re not going to talk about Florida any more. When was that?” Van Horn said Tuesday in a nonchalant manner but with a slightly peeved look on his face. “The SEC hasn’t said a word [about the controversial call at the plate]. Let’s see, we have Missouri State [Wednesday]. It was …tough. That’s life. We’re moving on.”
Van Horn said Geoffrey Davenport would start and throw two innings, and he would call upon the bullpen inning by inning to finish out the game.
