FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino just finished briefing the media on the Razorbacks' 2010 signing class. A full report will be posted later, but here is some information to tide you over until then.
Petrino felt the class meet the Razorbacks' needs and that focused centered on defensive lineman and defensive backs.
Petrino believes there are a number of special players in the group, and that the team will count on more than a few freshman to play this fall. However, the head Hog added that the staff should be able to redshirt more freshman this fall due to the depth the program returns.
Recruiting coordinator Tim Horton called this group the best of the three classes Arkansas has signed during Petrino's tenure as head coachand that 2011 should be better because a particularly strong in-state class.
Horton said the staff watched film on juniors this morning and actually extended several scholarship offers today; however, due to NCAA regulations, he could not mention names.
